01/11/2005 - Anti-spam mail service updated
With the help of our ever resourceful mail partner Merak, our anti-spam service has been vastly improved with the integration of Spamassassin, bayesian filters, challenge response and greylistings. This will be rolled out to all customers in the next few weeks.
13/10/2005 - Our First Linux Server
We have today added a production Linux Server to the fleet. It's primary function will be as a backup mail and database server but will provide some Apache based web services in the near future. Due to it's open source status, we will be looking at adding more Linux based machines in the very near future.
29/07/2005 - Anti-spam mail service updated
Our anti-spam service has been improved with the addition of a new DNSBL (DNS Blacklists) partner. Every email that is received by our mail servers will be checked against the blacklists at www.mail-abuse.com, www.spamhaus.org, www.smamcop.net and now www.sorbs.net also.
We are also implementing a range of content filters to decrease unwanted emails even more. So far this year the figures are as follows:

The figures above show that aout of the 361,016 emails received by our servers this year, 39% of them were rejected due to virus or spam related issues!

We have added a PGP component to our web server, accompanied with the email to fax facility we can now send orders securely from e-commerce sites directly to a fax machine of your choice with the contents being encrypted during transmission. An ideal alternative for the business who doesn't have the time to check the Internet every time an online order is received.
15/04/2005 - Mail Server Upgrades
We have upgraded our mail servers software to provide added facilities to clients and increase overall performance. Over the last few months the number of mail accounts on our servers has grown by 400%!
01/04/2005 - Two New Servers Added
Two new hi-spec Dell production servers have been added to the fleet. This hardware will increase overall performance by taking over web, dns, email and database services while providing added redundancy to the fleet of production servers.

02/12/2004 - Backup Mail Server Added
A new improved backup mail server has been implemented. In the unlikely event that the primary mail server goes offline, all emails will be re-routed to our backup server on a store and foreward basis. No emails will be lost in this event.

Due to popular demand, our hosting+stats package has been upgraded to show full detailed webstats and is available for all hosting+stats customers. To provide this service we have partnered with AWSTATS and work withing the GNU General Public License (GPL). In summary, the stats package shows the following details:
- Number of visits, and number of unique visitors
- Visits duration and last visits
- Days of week and rush hours (pages, hits, KB for each hour and day of week)
- Domains/countries of hosts visitors (pages, hits, KB, 269 domains/countries detected, GeoIp detection)
- Hosts list, last visits and unresolved IP addresses list
- OS used (pages, hits, KB for each OS, 35 OS detected),
- Browsers used (pages, hits, KB for each browser, each version (Web, Wap, Media browsers: 97 browsers, more than 300 with library file with phone models details)
- Visits of robots (319 robots detected)
- Worms attacks (5 worm's families)
- Search engines, keyphrases and keywords used to find your site (The 115 most famous search engines are detected like yahoo, google, altavista, etc...)
- HTTP errors (Page Not Found with last referrer, ...)
- Number of times your site is "added to favourites bookmarks"
- Screen size (need to add some HTML tags in index page)

27/05/2004 - Anti-virus mail service updated
Our anti-virus service has been improved with the addition of a new virus checking system specifically designed for email servers. As well as the current systems, all emails that are received by our mail servers will be checked by the Grisoft Email Anti-Virus service.
